Recommended by the Malcolm Adiseshiah Commission set  up for the study of Higher Education in Kerala, for the Autonomous status in 1985, Mar Ivanios College is a pioneering Institution of Higher Education in Kerala since 1949.The first College under the Kerala University to be Accredited by NAAC, Mar Ivanios College has now been awarded the status of the College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC. The portals of  this great temple of learning has welcomed generations of intellectual, cultural and social giants from the length and breadth of the Country who left indelible footprints on the sands of time making Mar Ivanios College a proud alma–mater.
