Present fields of research 
  • Molecular vibrational spectral studies of biomolecules of importance and organic NLO materials using NIR-FT Raman and IR Spectra.
  • Studies of Langmuir- Blodgett films and development of LB set up
  • Quantum chemical computations using ab initio and Density Functional Theoretical methods for geometry Optimization and vibrational  spectral prediction of Biomolecules  for analysis of experimental results.
  • Growth of new NLO crystals for structural and vibrational characterization.
  • Vibrational spectral studies of natural product  molecules with medicinal properties.
  • Vibrational spectral studies of anticancer drug molecules such as the latest COMBRETASTATIN molecules.
