(i) 3 year RESPOND project (Rs5.92lakhs) “Development and Characterisation of Organic and Polymeric Non-Linear Optical materials Relevant to Space Technology” sponsored by the Department of Space, Govt. of India. (Commenced in Nov 2002)
(ii) Minor Research project of UGC, Govt. of India (Oct 2003)
Present fields of Research
(i) Molecular vibrational spectral studies of biomolecules of importance and organic NLO materials using NIR-FT Raman and IR Spectra.
(ii)Studies of Langmuir- Blodgett films and development of LB set up.
(iii)Quantum chemical computations using ab initio and Density Functional Theoretical methods for geometry Optimization and vibrational spectral prediction of Biomolecules for analysis of experimental results.
(iv)Growth of new NLO crystals for structural and vibrational characterization.
(v) Vibrational spectral studies of natural product molecules with medicinal properties.
(vi)Vibrational spectral studies of anticancer drug molecules such as the latest COMBRETASTATIN molecules.
