PROSPECTUS
Eligibility for Admission
The applicant should fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed by the University of
Kerala
Regulations Regarding Admission

Candidates a seeking admission to a course in the college should apply in the prescribed form that can be obtained from the college office on payment of the registration fee of Rs. 30/-

While making enquiries, please quote application number, name of applicant and course applied for
-
A memo card will be sent to the candidate provisionally selected, to appear for an interview at the Principal’s Office. Selection will be finalized only after the interview.

The applicant at the time of the interview must be accompanied by his/her guardian and should produce the following documents :
(a) The memo card received from the college office
(b) The transfer Certificate in Original
(c) The Original Certificate and Mark list of the qualifying examination
(d) The applicant whose qualifying examination other than Plus Two of the Kerala State/Degree of the Kerala University should submit an eligibility certificate from the University of Kerala at the of admission.
(e) Candidates from Universities other than Kerala should produce Migration Certificate and Pass Certificate
(f) Certificate of character and conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended. Catholic students should produce character and Catechism certificates from their parish priest
(g) Four copies of recent passport size photograph.
(h) S.C. S.T candidates should produce community certificate from the Tahsildar and O.B.C candidates should produce community and income certificate from the Village Officer.

Those who are granted admission should pay the fee immediately. The amount to be paid at the time of enrolment is shown in the Fee schedule.

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students are expected to pay only the subscriptions at the time of enrolment.

Those who would like to apply for more than one Post Graduate Course should use separate
application forms.

Seats are reserved for outstanding performers in the field of sports and for physically handicapped persons as per University regulations.

Parents or guardians of the admitted candidates are expected to join the Guardian – Teacher
Association of the College.
After Admission
-
All the students are required to have their identity card with them while they are on the campus. Identity cards will be supplied by the College at the time of admission.

The students should keep all the receipts obtained from the college and should produce them for verification if required.

Students leaving the college after enrolment will have to pay the fee for the whole term.

Caution deposit of a student will be refunded only on surrendering the original receipt of the remittance.

Students admitted to the college, should strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the college.
Fee Concessions
1 . Students eligible for full fee concession should submit their application to the Principal in the prescribed form within 15 days of their admission. The forms are available from the college office.
2. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Kudumbi or Other Backward Communities and Christians converted from any of the above groups, should produce Caste and Income certificates from the Tahasildars concerned. Such certificates should be produced at the beginning of every subsequent academic year, if the concession is to be renewed.
3.Concessions will also be available to other students as per the provisions of the Kumara Pillai Commission Report (income limited to Rs. 25,000 for Degree and Rs 40,000 for Post Graduate).
Hostels

Application form for admission to the men’s hostels is available from the office on payment of a registration fee of Rs. 10/-
-
Water and electricity charges and mess fees are shared equally among the inmates.

The Rent and Establishment charges of the hostels are as follows: single room Rs. 2,250/- per annum.

The first instalment of Hostel Fee is to be paid on the day of enrolment.

Applications to the different women’s hostels are to be submitted to the respective wardens. Forms are available from the respective hostels.
College Bus
The college has two buses at present. Students who wish to travel by college bus will have to register their names with Fr. Bursar at the time of their admission. An advance of Rs. 1000/- should be paid which will be adjusted against the bus fare during the academic year. Renewal of registration is to be done paying an equal amount at the beginning of each academic year.
All payments should be made at the College Co-operative Bank and receipts should be produced before the Bursar to obtain the Registration Card.
How to fill the application form
All the entries must be in BLOCK
LETTERS. Write one
letter in a box. Leave one box between words. Initials should be
separated by one empty box as well.
